Contribution of the two rectifiers reconfiguration to fault tolerance connected to the grid network to feed the GMAW through processor-in-the-loop

This study aims to propose a new diagnosis technique based on the Park’s vector and polar coordinates of electric currents for detection location open-circuit faults (OC) at level two rectifiers connected grid network feed Gas Metal Arc Welding process (GMAW). allows early faulty switches (Thyristors) overcome negative effect welding current, voltage, droplet diameter. For that, reconfigurable have been integrated accomplish process. The proposed is applied GMAW system through numerical simulations using MATLAB/Simulink real-time processor-in-the-loop (PIL) implementation via DSpace ds 1103 card. simulation PIL experimental results show similar trends great success reconfiguration overcoming open circuit obtaining high quality while maintaining work-piece avoiding distortions caused by rectifiers, which affecting same time.
